Every day starts and ends with brushing your teeth. But our daily healthy habits can have a dark side to them. Most stores only offer cheap plastic toothbrushes which slowly release microplastics in our mouths twice a day.
Even toothbrushes with wooden handles which are marketed as "BPA free", "plant based", or "green" are usually not plastic free! The bristles are made from nylon. Even if it is made from plant based oils instead of fossil fuels, you will still be putting plastic into your mouth.
Once you see how artificial almost all store bought chewing gums are, you will never want to touch one again. In this video by the BBC, it feels more like a lab experiment than a cooking recipe. It is not appealing to watch and think about putting any of those ingredients in your mouth.
